FRINGE FRINGE FRINGE

Came across this fringe necklace or collar on a blog :] I decided to recreate it and make a tutorial! I am obsessing over statement pieces as well as Peter Pan collars and embellished collars! Will do DIY of them soon.

Materials:
24 in. Zipper
1.5 yards of fringe
Scissors
Needle & thread or Hot glue gun

This is the result! I experimented with pulling the zipper higher and lower and decided that I liked the more "zipped" effect which is not shown in this picture. Play around and try to mix and match fringe and zipper colors! Enjoy :]

Here is a quick video tutorial of the necklace I made.

Update, Random findings, Jewelry designing!

Long time no blog! I feel like a broken record saying that over and over again. But alas I'm back with an entry exploding with pictures! This entry has an update of what I've been up do and new things I've tried that I'm loving!

These are shampoo and conditioners from the Target Up & Up brand. There are 7 sets that target different aspects in haircare. I loved the simple package and decided to try the volumizing set. I usually use the Aussie brand volumizing shampoo. The price is inexpensive and priced a bit under average which is a great buy!
The volumizing set I bought. Love it! Can't wait to try the others.

Lately for Summertime I have been crazy with the polish. My color choices have been very bright vivid colors and neon ones too! My favorites are neon pink and this highlighter yellow.

To update everyone on what I've been up to *drumroll***** I have been experimenting with designing some pieces of jewelry. By no means am I trying to make a living off of this newfound hobby of mine and a few gal pals. But I was just curious to see where this very expensive hobby of mine could take me haha. We have been wholesale bead-shopping and it quite fun and sort of a bonding moment for us. The girl above is one of my best friends KT! HII!
The store had alot of items. Perhaps I shall make a video on snippets of our bead hunting adventure.

The BFFs and I trying to be creative! :p L to R: Karen, KT, and me!

Yes yes those are what you see. They are bullet shells used for some of my pieces!

This pendent is one of my favorites! It's crystal has an iridescent sheen to it and the texture is pretty neat!

h
These are genuine crystals from the Crystal caves in Arkansas that I had from a trip there many years ago!

Lastly, to sum up what else I have been doing is obviously enjoying my summer break with the BFFs and the beaux:] Here is a pic of us at Crate & Barrel sipping on some mini cappuccinos. I love the paper mug!

I can't wait to share with you guys some finished pieces!

Current Obsession: Skull, Rings

Good afternoon ladies! It's been quite some time since my last post. I have been bogged down with work/school. But enough complaining! I've been having a weird obsession with rings lately.

I haven never been a big fan of skulls. Jewelry, clothing, and patterns didn't ever intrigue me at all. A few weeks back I was shopping inside Dillard's BCBG section when I came across this skull ring that didn't look evil, or like it belonged in Mexico's Day of the Dead decor. I wanted to buy it but it was about $30 and I wasn't a big fan of skulls to begin with so I didn't bother. But after a few weeks I went to a different BCBG and it was on sale for $14 so I bought it and I have been obsessed. It's really the only skull piece I own.

Another ring from BCBG it's double sided! It's perfect for my mood changes haha

Below are some other skull rings I thought were pretty cute

Dior Skull collection. Well I don't think these are well suited for me but I just wanted to share with you guys some of the skull jewelry that are out for spring this year!

Enjoy!
